Donna Taylor B.A. (Hons)


Donna Taylor has worked within the governmental and voluntary sectors for the last 20 years, at local, national and international levels. She spent 12 years with the federal government, primarily with the Department of Justice as a senior policy consultant (criminal & social policy) and more recently as the Regional Manager (BC/Yukon) for the Department’s (then) Crime Prevention & Evaluation Investment Fund. Her most recent position was Regional Manager, BC/Yukon Region, Employment Programs with Human Resources and Social Development Canada.

She is currently working independently in research and consultancy for various clients, with a focus on public policy issues related to crime, social justice, community safety and urban renewal. Most of her experience has focused upon social justice and community investment issues, particularly as relates to vulnerable populations. She has also been involved in many program and policy initiatives aimed at addressing a broad range of social and economic issues and has interacted extensively with client groups and organizations of potential importance to STAND.
